We would like to note that UI Green Metric Classification has announced its 2024 Edition Results, in which 1477 Universities coming from 95 Countries around the World have been competing. In this Distinguished Ranking, Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved First Place among Private Universities, and Third Position in Iraq after the Universities of Babylon and Al-Anbar, whereas it has been ranked at 161st globally.
However, we are obliged to note as well that UI Greenmetric Classification is based on Certain Criteria, which focus on the measurement of the following indicators:
a. University Campus Environment & Infrastructure 15%;
b. Energy and Climate Change 21%;
c. Waste Management 18%;
d. Optimal Use of Water 10%;
e. Academic Programs & Research 18%; and
f. Means of Transportation inside and outside the University Campus 18%.
Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in a statement released to the University Media, has referred to the remarkable performance of the University over the years as well as its Progress at International Levels, extending meanwhile his Thanks & Appreciation to all Cadres that have exerted great efforts in order to come up with this notable achievement.
It is worth noting that Al-Mustaqbal University has managed to achieve the Second Position in Iraq after University of Baghdad in the Multidisciplinary Sciences Ranking that is issued by Times Higher Education, in addition to occupying an Advanced Rank in the Times Higher Education of Arab Universities Classification. All these results have been announced during the last month of 2024, and thus becoming a year full of Scientific Achievements. Accordingly, a Special Celebration shall be organized on Sunday, 22nd December 2024 in order to honor Participants of these Classifications.
