As part of his continuous follow-up and ongoing preparations to receive the New Academic Year 2024-2025, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, has convened an Expanded Meeting with the Council of College of Engineering & Technology, with the attendance of His Assistants, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence, and a number of Department Directors at the University Presidency as well as Information Technology Division. The Meeting has aimed to reviewing and evaluating what has been accomplished during the Past Academic Year, in addition to assessing the Plans prepared by the College Deanship for the Academic Year 2024-2025, including those related to Scientific Research, Conferences, Seminars, and other activities regarding Community Service, as well as the procedures of receiving and registering Students, all along with the distribution of assignments, and formation of Committees of all types so as to ensure ideal functioning and regularity of the Educational Process.
In his speech, the University President has appreciated the achievements already accomplished during the previous period and at various levels, valuing the role of all responsible departments, starting with the Advanced Staff, and through them to all Academics and Employees, emphasizing meanwhile the necessity of working in the Spirit of a Team, enhancing the Values of Belonging and Institutional Loyalty, which constitute the best route towards Success and maintaining the Achievements already attained. He has also confirmed that the College of Engineering is highly distinguished by its weight in terms of Research Output and the diversity of Specializations that meet the requirements of Labor Market, playing meanwhile a major role in the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, being a vital priority to Al-Mustaqbal University.
In another aspect of his Speech, the University President has emphasized the necessity of activating work of Research Centers that have been established at the beginning of this year, as they deal with issues that have the priority for Governments at both Local and International Levels, such as Renewable Energies and Artificial Intelligence, calling for marketing Research Output in these two Vital Fields and actively contributing in the support of Public Sectors, in addition to Solid Scientific Publishing and Participation in Scientific Forums.
Furthermore, the University President has ascertained to follow up work on the Academic Accreditation Files, especially with for Scientific Departments that are now completely prepared to obtain Accreditation and join important Rankings, concluding His Speech by emphasizing to Attendees and through them to all University Academics and Employees that achieving Success and providing the best Level of Performance is Everyone’s Responsibility.
