Al-Mustaqbal University Gains First Position among Iraqi Universities in the Solid Scientific Publication in Top 10% of High Impact Factor Journals

It is considerable to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has announced that our University has recorded another achievement in Solid Scientific Publication, being Ranked First among Iraqi Universities.
The Publication Rate for the period 2019-2024 in Top 10% of High Impact Factor Journals has reached 683 Papers, and thus Al-Mustaqbal University has been Ranked First, followed by University of Baghdad in the Second Place, achieving 672 Papers, while the University of Technology has been Ranked Third with 525 Research Papers. All these data have been included in the Bulletin of 15th August 2024, issued by Scopus.
Furthermore, Al-Mustaqbal University has been Ranked First among Private Universities and Third among Public Universities among the highest 200 Universities publishing in Top 50% of High-Impact Factor Journals for the same period stated above, with 2,527 Papers.
We should note as well that the number of Citations obtained by the University has reached 25,688, according to SciVal Digest Bulletin, which indicates that the University has achieved a Score of 1.61 for the Field-Weighted Citations Impact (FWCI), representing the Citations Ratio of the Assessment Year compared to that of the previous three years. This Factor after all indicates the Research Output Solidity, being positively affected by the degree of International Cooperation in the Field of Research.
Besides, It is worth noting that the University Presidency pays special attention to Solid Scientific Research through the creation of Supportive Research Environment to Academics and Researchers in a way that would lead to achieving High-Quality Research published in the most influential journals Q1 and Q2, and thus strengthening the Reputation of Higher Education in Iraq, in addition to embodying the Ministry Policy in this direction.
Finally, we are obliged to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, has clarified in a Statement released to the University Media, that the University Presidency highly values and appreciates the efforts exerted by Academics and Researchers that have led to attaining such Qualitative Achievement, indicating at the same time that the University shall keep on supporting all Initiatives that would raise the University Reputation at all Forums and Fields.
