In light of Al-Mustaqbal University Directives, represented by its President, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, to open up to International Universities and learn about Pioneering and Successful Experiences of those Universities, Al-Mustaqbal University Delegation, after signing the Scientific & Cultural Cooperation Agreement with the Iranian Ferdowsi University, has had the opportunity to conduct a tour through the Iranian university to view the Incubator Sites, where the Delegation has been introduced to a number of Scientific Products and Applied Technological Projects that would supply the Local Market and the Industrial Sector with many Qualitative Products and Innovations.
During the visit, a number of Specialized Laboratories in the Field of Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, and Food Industries have been reviewed, in addition to other Laboratories related to Mechanical and Communications Industries.
The Experts in charge of work at these Incubators have highly appreciated Recent Results & Advanced Ranks achieved by Al-Mustaqbal University, in which the Scientific Research Movement has constituted an essential part, stressing at the same time that Al-Mustaqbal University does possess all the capabilities to establish Scientific & Technological incubators similar to those in the Iranian Universities. Besides, and during the visit, it has been agreed to organize Exchange Visits between Academics in order to benefit from the Iranian experience in this Field.
We are obliged to note however that Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, has clarified in a Statement released to the University Media that the issue of establishing Technological Incubators has become a Priority within the University Strategy, especially in light of the Ninth Amendment to the Law of the Ministry of Higher Education, which permits Universities to establish Technological Incubators.
It is worth noting that Al-Mustaqbal University Delegation has included Assist Prof Dr. Azher Muhsin Abid, Dean of Engineering College, Assist Prof Dr. Tariq Jawad, Director of Scientific Affairs Department, and Mr. Muhsin Abid, Director of Student Affairs Department.
