It is considerable to note that Al-Mustaqbal University Council has convened its Seventh Session for the Academic Year 2023-2024, Chaired by Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, the University President, in the presence of the Council Members, and hosting the Director of Supervision and Follow-up at the University Presidency.
Prof. Dr. Majdi has started the Session, congratulating attendees and through them to all Academics, Employees, Students and their Families on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, asking God Almighty to protect everyone and our Beloved Iraq.
While addressing the most essential directives, Prof Dr. Majdi has highly appreciated all efforts exerted by the Committees of Sustainability Week Festival that has been organized by the University earlier, constituting indeed the largest Scientific and Qualitative Event in Iraq in terms of organization and type of participation, as its Program has covered lots of activities, including Scientific Dialogue Sessions, Exhibitions, Initiatives, Research Presentations, Patents, and Project Proposals, in addition to organizing two Scientific Conferences and opening the Artificial Intelligence Research Center as well as the Energy Research Center, meanwhile, emphasizing the necessity to Good Marketing for such Unique Event, especially if we keep in mind that it embodies the Slogan adopted by Al-Mustaqbal University, which calls "Towards a Sustainable University".
Moreover, the University President has referred to the progress achieved by the University at SCIMAGO Rankings in its New Version compared to last year, calling for a Review and Analysis to the Ranking Results as well as other International Classifications.
On the other hand, Prof Dr. Majdi has pointed out that Al-Mustaqbal University indeed has had a prominent presence in the Conference of the Arab Universities Association that has been recently convened in Baghdad through its active participation in Exhibitions and other Events, where a number of Memorandums of Understanding have been signed with Prominent Arab Universities on the sidelines of the Conference. It should be noted however that these Memorandums, and in order to fully benefit from them, they require in fact hard work so as to be activated.
Regarding Scientific Research, the University President has confirmed the necessity to reviewing the Scientific Research Plan adopted by the University Colleges and carefully pursuing Achievement Rates already accomplished, reminding all that from now on, we shall be facing great challenges, and therefore, we are obliged to exert the utmost efforts so that we could maintain the Successes and Advanced Ranks that have been achieved by the University.
Finally, we should note that the Council has proceeded in reviewing and discussing the remaining items of the Agenda, which has also included Preparation for Experimental Evaluation Exams, Following up Students’ Attendance, in addition to other Administrative Issues. Appropriate Decisions & Recommendations have been taken regarding the aforementioned matters.
