College of Administrative Sciences Organizes a Scientific Workshop entitled "Role of Macroeconomic Policies in Alleviating Poverty in Iraq"

Under the Guardianship of Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, College of Administrative Sciences and within the Activities of Sustainability Week, has organized a Scientific Workshop entitled:
"Role of Macroeconomic Policies in Alleviating Poverty in Iraq"
It is remarkable to note that the Workshop has been administered by Prof Dr. Khalid Hussein Al-Marzouq, while hosting Prof Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat University, Prof Dr. Kamil Allawi an Academic at the College of Administration & Economics, University of Kufa, and Dr. Ghaida Sadiq, an Academic at the College of Administration & Economics, University of Fallujah.
The Session however has been dealing with three issues, where the first issue, as clarified by Dr. Hassan Al-Zubaidi, addresses anti-poverty strategies, the ones being treated by the Iraqi Government, explaining the difficulties that have been facing the Government while addressing these two Strategies, emphasizing that there is a third strategy to be dealt with in the future.
As for the second issue, being entitled "The Impact of Financial Policy in the Combat of Poverty", Prof Dr. Kamil Allawi has explained that Financial Policy in Iraq needs more orientation towards Fragile and Poor Classes, and that would lead to reducing rates of poverty, meanwhile, Unemployment shall be taken into consideration through the use of Financial Policy Tools.
The third issue has been raised for discussion by Dr. Ghaida Sadiq, being under the title "Impact of Gross Domestic Product Growth on Reducing Unemployment Rates", focusing on the concept of pro-poor growth, that would lead to combating Poverty by addressing both Inflation and Unemployment.
