We would like to note that Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has participated among the Iraqi Delegations participating in the Climate Conference of the Parties COP28, organized in Dubai, UAE. The Official Visit has been organized in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program as well as the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research. The President's Visit has included a number of Pavilions that has been focusing on Sustainable & Green Education, Programs of Global Sustainability, Education & Training, in addition to visiting the House of Creativity.
Prof Majdi has declared that Universities do play a major role in addressing Climate Change, as being concerned about Research, Studies, provision of Data, with serious efforts to come up with appropriate solutions. Meanwhile, he has confirmed that Sustainability for Al-Mustaqbal University is deemed a Fundamental Goal, and its well-known Motto. As a matter of fact, our University has taken vigorous steps to consider Climate Change & Sustainable Development on a Broader Scale, adopting an ambitious Strategy, and exerting all possible efforts to work inside and outside the University in order to achieve the Goals of Sustainable Development.
We should keep in mind after all that Al-Mustaqbal University has managed to accomplish lots of achievements, such as for example, becoming First in the Field of Sustainability, and because of that, it has been honored by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education. Besides, it has achieved the First Rank in several World Rankings, including Environmental THE Impact Ranking, Energy Research & Reduction of Heat Emissions, Green Matrix, and in Sustainable Agriculture and Improvement of Environment & Climate.
