In implementation to the Strategy of Internationalizing Higher Education at Iraqi Universities as well as enhancing Global Academic Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has received the Delegation of Pahang Sultan Abdullah University / Malaysia (UMPSA), being Headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ziyad bin Sulaiman, the Vice President of the University for Academic and International Affairs, accompanied by the Dean of Graduate Studies and the Director of International Affairs Department, whereas a Memorandum of Understanding has been concluded between the two Parties during the Delegation Visit to Al-Mustaqbal University.
It is remarkable to note that Assist Prof. Dr. Hamza Al-Khafaji, Head of Bio-Medical Engineering Department, has clarified that Mutual Scientific Cooperation between the two Universities shall comprise Students Training Opportunities, Facilitating Admission Procedures of Postgraduate Programs to Al-Mustaqbal University Graduates at the aforementioned University in Shared Majors, in addition to encouraging Short Visits of Academics to exchange experiences, having Training Courses, Implementing Development Projects, as well as Organizing Conferences and Joint Research Cooperation.
While touring the University Campus, Head of the Visiting Delegation has announced that they shall grant Scholarships for two Graduates of Al-Mustaqbal University to obtain a Master’s Degree. Meanwhile, they have highly appreciated the Human and Urban Capabilities available at Al-Mustaqbal University.
At the end, souvenirs have been exchanged, and the Delegation Members have sincerely thanked Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University for their Warm Welcome and Generous Hospitality. Besides, an invitation has been extended to visit the University of Pahang in Malaysia so as to Sustain Cooperation between them and move ahead towards implementing what has been already agreed upon.
