In his visit to Al-Mustaqbal University, His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, has appreciated what has been achieved by the University in the various fields of Research, Urban Development, and International Cooperation.
He has been warmly received by Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, accompanied by the University Council Members, and in a Meeting convened with his Excellency, Prof. Dr. Majdi has reviewed the University’s accomplishments, emphasizing on its distinguished status, as being in the First Place among Private and some of the Public Colleges and Universities in the National as well as International Rankings.
For his part, Dr. Al-Aboudi has declared that his visit to Al-Mustaqbal University is the first to a Private Institution, which undoubtedly reflects the unique position that Al-Mustaqbal University does occupy among other Universities. We are obliged to note that His Excellency has promised to visit the University once more in the near future due to the Great Achievements that have been accomplished by our University in a Record Time, with a specific focus on the International Cooperation, and namely with the Malaysian Universities, and the Cooperation Program that shall be conducted in August of this year to promote the Academics Skills and Capabilities. His Excellency added that support and equality in treatment between Private & Public Universities shall be seriously taken into consideration.
After that, the Minister has been taken in an inspection Tour through the University Campus to open or lay the Foundation Stone of some buildings, including the following:
1. Inaugurating the Pharmacy College Building;
2. Inaugurating the Dentistry College Building with its Educational Clinics;
3. Laying the Foundation Stone for the University Presidency Building with the Central Conference Court;
4. Laying the Foundation Stone for “Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research & Studies”, which is expected to be an International Center in Iraq;
5. Inaugurating Students Club Building; and
6. Inaugurating the University Presidency Office Building.
It is remarkable to note that His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, has had a Meeting with a number of Students, and listened to some of their problems regarding the Assessment Examinations. On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University has confirmed that the Minister’s Visit can be deemed a Launching Point and a New Success to our University, as his Excellency has been quite relieved of what he has witnessed inside Al-Mustaqbal University. Meanwhile, Prof Dr. Majdi has expressed their readiness to establish an A.I. College, being one of the Modern Sciences in the World nowadays, emphasizing that the University shall proceed on implementing its Strategic Plan of Sustainability, and finally, thanking his Excellency for the Visit.
