It is considerable to note that 53 Iraqi Colleges and Universities, being only 44 in 2022, have occupied competitive positions in the British THE Impact Rankings (Times Higher Education) for the Year 2023. The First Five Universities are listed below with their Global Rankings:

It is remarkable to note that THE Times Rankings evaluates 1,591 Educational Institutions, based on the degree of achievement to specific UN Sustainable Development Goals, comprising SDG3: Good Health & Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, all together with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
Finally, we are obliged to note as well that Iraqi Universities do register an increasing competition in the Global Rankings, including Global Ranking of Academic Subjects / Shanghai, in which University of Baghdad has appeared within the Major of Chemical Engineering, THE Times Rankings, where we have 8 Universities, QS Stars Ranking, with 5 Universities, Greenmetric, in which 73 Iraqi Colleges and Universities have registered, URA Ranking, where 4 Iraqi Universities have been registered, and Webometrics, in which more than 100 Iraqi Colleges and Universities have been included.
