Under the Guardianship of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, and in cooperation with the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Force, a Workshop was convened at the Central Conferences Court / Medical Building, on Wednesday 22nd February 2023, being entitled

“Prevention & Awareness of Terrorism and Extremist Ideology Dangers”

Part of the College Program which aims to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with specific focus on SDG 17: Partnership for Other Goals, the Workshop Opening Ceremony started at 11.00 a.m. with playing the National Anthem and reading Surat Al-Fatiha on the Souls of Iraqi Martyrs.
We are obliged to note that Law Professor Abdul Hussein Salman Al-Abousi, as a Representative to the Iraqi Counter Terrorism Force, Director General of Policy & Strategic Planning has attended the Workshop with Dr. Safaa Hassan and a group of the Force’s Officers.
After that, a Welcome Speech has been delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Munthir Fadhil Hassan, Deputy Dean for Administrative Affairs, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College. The workshop, however, has included an explanation to the formation of the Counter Terrorism Force, the Iraqi Strategy to combat Terrorism and its Legal Scope. Besides, we should keep in our mind that all efforts aim to encourage the existence of peaceful communities, in addition to achieving Sustainable Development through the application of Educational Programs so as to enhance and strengthen the role of Governmental Institutions.
At the end of the Workshop, the attendees have been honored with the College Shield, appreciating their participation in the Workshop Activities.
