It is considerable to note that this Research has been dealing with a Modern Analytical Method, adopted for evaluating and improving the Seismic Performance of Buildings through the use of Base-Isolated Insulation in order to protect the building from the impact of earthquakes, and thus ensuring the buildings safety and reducing Human as well as Economic losses that result from such impact.
As a matter of fact, the Researchers have carried out an applied study on 3 multi-storey buildings (6, 9 and 12) with a height of 3.2 meters per floor, as this type of buildings is highly affected by Earthquake Forces. Besides, three time periods of Earthquake History have been taken into account, and these are 72, 475 and 2475 years.
Finally, we are obliged to note that the research has been published in “Journal of Building Engineering” of Elsevier, indexed within SCOPUS & Clarivate Engines, Q1, Impact Factor: 7.1.
