We are obliged to note that Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, with his accompanying delegation have participated in the UNESCO Celebration on the occasion of 5th International Day of Education2023, in cooperation with the Iraqi Government and Education Partners under the Guardianship of His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri, the Minister of Education.
The event organized in Babylon Hotel / Baghdad, has been attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Education, an Advisor representing the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Education Development, in addition to High-Ranking Representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, and the Council of Prime Ministry Advisors, and Communications & Media Authority, along with UN Agencies, INGOs, Local NGOs and other key players in the field of education. As a matter of fact, this event has been an opportunity to reaffirm Iraq's Educational Commitments, and to intensify Public Engagement in favour of education as a path that leads to Peace & Sustainable Development.
They have all agreed on one main issue: Priority shall be given to Education.
