This appreciation took place during the Opening Ceremony of
“First National Report of Universities' Response Towards Sustainable Development Goals”

This ceremony was organized at Al-Mustansiriyah University on Thursday 19th January 2023, where His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that the Ministry with all Universities, Governmental as well as Private, are completely committed to the development plan and its time horizon, extending until 2030. They are all obliged to achieve the largest part of the Program’s indicators, and thus meeting both the National and Global Entitlements.
The Committee in charge of preparing the First National Report of Universities’ Response towards the SDG Indicators announced that Al-Mustaqbal University College has been ranked first among Private Colleges and Universities with a score of 79 points, and accordingly, the College has been honored by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi.
It is considerable to note that a documentary film has been shown during the Ceremony. This film has almost covered the most important accomplishments, related to Sustainable Development Goals, and achieved by Al-Mustaqbal University College.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, has clarified that when raising the Slogan “Towards a Sustainable University”, the College with its Volunteer Teams, has been determined to achieve all SDGs inside and outside its community and environment, including Eradication of Poverty, Fighting Hunger, Achieving Sustainable Agriculture, Good Health, Water, Energy, Justice & Peace as well as Partnerships for other Goals. At the end, the Dean has forwarded his thanks and appreciation to all Faculty Members for their distinguished efforts in achieving such great goals.
