On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, Department of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University College organized a Festival on Monday Morning 12th December, 2022. The Opening Ceremony of the Festival has been launched with the Iraqi National Anthem, in addition to reciting Surat Al-Fatiha as a tribute to the Souls of Our Heroic Martyrs.
Representing Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, Head of Law Department, has been in charge of delivering the Deanship Speech. After that, two documentaries have been shown. The first summarizes the College Achievements, whereas the second demonstrates Human Rights Evolution.
Furthermore, the Festival has included the process of signing the book entitled “Human Rights” written by Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, followed by a Dialogue Session chaired by Mr. Ahmed Al-Attar, Head of Human Rights Commission in Babylon, in addition to General Adel Al-Anawi of the Police Directorate. Human Rights status in Babylon has been widely discussed in the Session.
