The Department of Physical Education & Sports Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University College is still involved in the processes of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Such essential objective is accomplished by expanding and spreading sports culture, and thus raising awareness among people about the importance of practicing sports. Besides, such activities will reflect positive images about our Governorate.
Under the guardianship of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, and supervision of Dr. Mazin Hadi Gzar, Head of Physical Education & Sports Sciences Department, with the Academics Dr. Ameen Salih and Dr. Waleed Khalid Abdul Hadi, a Rowing Championship has been organized, in which a number of clubs have participated, including those at Al-Mustaqbal University College, University of Babylon, Open Educational College, along with the clubs of Maritime Heritage, Marina academy, Al-Mahaweel, Al-Hilla and Babylon.
It is considerable to note that Al-Mustaqbal University College Team has achieved the First Place in both Individual & Team Competitions, whereas the University of Babylon has come Second, and the Open Educational College in the Third Place.
