Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College, has paid a visit to Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University in Kufa, and he has been received with the accompanying delegation by Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Al-Zuhairi, the University President.
A preparatory meeting has been convened between the two parties to finalize the preparations for the 2nd International Conference on the Role of Universities in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
This step comes after the success of the First Conference that has been held in Istanbul in which more than 120 research papers addressing Sustainability have been published in the various journals of SCOPUS Engines. These successful conclusions shall be reflected on the 2nd Conference assumed to be organized in February 2023.
The meeting has also included discussions related to organizing the Conference Activities, and the work plan, in addition to identifying the Conference Date. Besides, other issues have been taken into consideration, such as selection of candidates for the various committees, the timetable of receiving the academic papers, and residents’ selection as per specialization. Finally, divergent ideas and viewpoints have been exchanged amid the members of the two parties.
