“A case study on thermal performance analysis of a solar still basin employing ceramic magnets”
This research has been published in the Journal of “Case Studies in Thermal Engineering”. However, it should be noted that this Journal is part of the Dutch Publishing House Elsevier, and it is ranked in Scopus Q1 with CiteScore of 5.2, and in Clarivate with an Impact Factor of 6.2.
In this study, energy and stress analysis has been performed in a single slope of the solar stills through the utilization of circular and rectangular ceramic magnets in the basin used for this study and then compared with conventional solar stills. The results have showed that the Rectangular Magnet Solar Shredder (RMSS) has a higher hourly productivity of about 5.8% and 13.7% than the Circular Magnet Solar Shredder (CMSS) as well as the Conventional Solar Cutter (CSS). In addition, it has been noticed as well that magnetization of salt water makes the solar stills work better.
