President of Al Mustaqbal University Explores the Latest Research in Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology at Bristol Robotics Laboratory

Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al Mustaqbal University, conducted an extensive field tour of the Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL) at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), exploring the latest scientific research and innovative technologies being developed by postgraduate students and researchers in collaboration with leading global companies and institutions.
Key Highlights and Technologies Covered During the Tour:
1. Healthcare Robotics and Smart Living:
A visit to the Personalised Assisted Living Studio, where he explored advanced applications of assistive robotics, home and service robots designed for the healthcare sector, and technologies supporting older adults.
2. Autonomous Driving Systems and Smart Vehicles:
An overview of specialized research projects focused on developing autonomous vehicle technologies and intelligent systems, including projects such as VENTURER, implemented in partnership with major industrial companies.
3. Advanced Manufacturing and Robotic Arms:
Exploration of the latest research in hybrid additive manufacturing and smart manufacturing using large-scale industrial robotic arms, including KUKA Robots.
4. Human-Robot Interaction and Artificial Intelligence Research:
A review of field research conducted by postgraduate students and institutions on quadruped robots and interactive humanoid robots, including Pepper and PAL Humanoid Robots, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence into sensing and autonomous movement.
