Geneva — 8 July 2026 Al Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, participated in the activities of the prominent AI for Good Global Summit, held at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. This participation comes as part of the University’s strategic vision to lead digital transformation, integrate artificial intelligence technologies into academic and administrative structures, and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The summit, regarded as a leading global platform for directing innovation toward tangible societal impact, brought together a broad international community of researchers, policymakers, innovators, and technology startup founders from around the world. The opening-day sessions explored mechanisms for transforming academic and laboratory research into practical applications that serve the public, commercial, and humanitarian sectors. On the sidelines of the summit, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi attended the Kaleidoscope Academic Conference organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which focused this year on the theme “AI and Frontier Technologies for Good.” The conference addressed emerging fields including quantum computing, brain-machine interfaces, and collaborative robotics. The activities also included the launch of the new AI Playbook, a framework designed to help policymakers and academic institutions move technological projects from the experimental concept stage to large-scale implementation. Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi emphasized the importance of the emerging directions highlighted by the summit, particularly in the fields of smart agricultural innovation, healthcare, and addressing climate challenges. He noted that Al Mustaqbal University places a high priority on building strong international partnerships and supporting responsible artificial intelligence platforms and digital citizenship, contributing to the development of integrated educational curricula that connect technical skills with critical awareness and the dimensions of sustainable development. This international participation forms part of Al Mustaqbal University’s ongoing pioneering efforts to strengthen its position as a key hub for research and innovation, develop its human capabilities, and keep pace with the global digital revolution in ways that serve the academic and development communities.
