Al Mustaqbal University has achieved a new academic milestone, adding to its growing record of achievements and international rankings, with its official appearance in the results of the Global University Presence Index (GUPI), recognized through the Top Arab University Rankings platform. This recognition reflects the University’s active digital and academic presence, the growing reach of its research outputs, and its scientific impact both locally and regionally, further strengthening its competitive position among leading educational and academic institutions. According to the official statistical data issued by the index, the Iraqi list includes seven Iraqi universities that met the criteria related to academic impact, research productivity, and digital presence. Al Mustaqbal University was ranked among the distinguished Iraqi universities, alongside University of Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriyah University, University of Technology, University of Babylon, University of Basrah, University of Mosul, and Al Mustaqbal University. At the Arab and global levels, the GUPI adopts comprehensive analytical monitoring of universities across the Arab region, spanning more than 10 Arab countries. These institutions collectively account for hundreds of thousands of scholarly articles and peer-reviewed research papers. Their impact is measured in comparison with more than 20,000 educational institutions worldwide included in major international rankings such as Times, QS, SCImago, Webometrics, and others. The GUPI relies on an advanced methodology that integrates academic data analysis with artificial intelligence technologies to assess six key pillars: 1. Visibility and Positioning in International Rankings: Monitoring universities’ growing performance across global databases. 2. Research Impact and Scientific Publishing: Measuring the quality and proportion of publications in recognized journals, as well as citation rates. Al Mustaqbal University recorded 2,491 peer-reviewed research articles within the platform’s indicators. 3. Global Academic Presence: Monitoring the reach of the University’s educational identity and partner programs. 4. International Scientific Collaboration Indicators: Assessing the scale of cross-border partnerships and research projects. 5. Digital Strength and Infrastructure: Evaluating the quality of online academic content and the University’s cloud-based digital infrastructure. 6. Academic and Professional Reputation: Assessing the impact of graduates and their standing among employers and academic communities. It is also noteworthy that Al Mustaqbal University is the only private university to appear in the index, highlighting the success of its strategic vision, which is centered on educational quality, the advancement of applied scientific research, sustainability initiatives, and digital transformation. In a statement to the University’s Media Office, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al Mustaqbal University, emphasized that this presence in independent international indicators represents a strong incentive to continue the University’s journey of academic development and modernization, while expanding international partnerships in ways that support the advancement of higher education in Iraq and enhance the standing of Iraqi universities in Arab and international forums
