Al-Mustaqbal University hosted the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications, Professor Dr. Abbas Mohsen Al-Bakri, who was received by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, as part of efforts to strengthen academic partnerships and institutional openness among Iraqi universities. During the meeting, both sides reviewed prospects for joint cooperation, which culminated in the signing of a scientific and academic memorandum of cooperation covering several vital areas. These included joint scientific research, publication in reputable academic journals, support for international rankings, exchange visits for faculty members and students, as well as the implementation of specialized training programs aimed at capacity building and skills development. Following the signing ceremony, the guest, accompanied by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, conducted a field tour of the university campus. During the visit, he was briefed on the university’s infrastructure and its educational and service facilities, expressing great admiration for the qualitative development and remarkable academic and urban progress witnessed by the institution. It is worth noting that the visit of the President of the University of Information Technology and Communications to Al-Mustaqbal University came as part of his participation as a keynote speaker in one of the sessions of the Arab Forum on Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, organized by the university in cooperation with the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, reflecting the university’s academic standing and its active role in hosting prominent Arab and international academic events.
