In a new national achievement added to its distinguished record of success, Al-Mustaqbal University won the First Outstanding Private University Award in Iraq for 2024 as part of the Iraqi Science Day Awards, reaffirming its leadership and excellence in the field of private higher education. With this achievement, the university continues to top the academic scene for the fourth consecutive year, having won the same rank in 2022 and 2023. The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, was honored with the Shield of the First Outstanding Private University in Iraq for 2024 by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, during the activities of the Iraq Education Conference 2025, organized by the Ministry from 11 to 13 October, in the presence of a distinguished group of undersecretaries, advisors, university presidents, experts, and academics from inside and outside Iraq. This recognition was granted based on precise scientific criteria adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which included: • Results of the National Ranking of Iraqi Universities, • The university’s presence in prestigious international rankings, • Academic and research reputation, • The number of high-quality scientific publications and citations published in internationally recognized journals. In the overall ranking of private universities, Warith Al-Anbiyaa University ranked second, while Al-Maaref University College came in third place. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi expressed his deep gratitude and pride in this distinguished achievement, extending his warmest congratulations to the faculty members, staff, and students of Al-Mustaqbal University. He emphasized that this accomplishment is the result of integrated institutional work and continuous efforts, reflecting the spirit of creativity, commitment, and excellence within the university.
