Digital bullying has emerged as a significant challenge to the psychological and social well-being of adolescents, exacerbated by the widespread use of social media and online platforms. Harassment in the digital realm takes many forms, including mockery, threats, the spreading of rumors, offensive comments, and the violation of privacy. The danger of this phenomenon lies in the fact that abuse can persist well beyond the confines of school or home; harmful content can spread rapidly, reaching a vast number of users, which intensifies the victim's feelings of fear, embarrassment, and isolation. Repeated exposure to digital bullying is often linked to heightened anxiety, diminished self-esteem, declining academic performance, and a loss of trust in others, in addition to straining family and social relationships. Furthermore, some adolescents may hesitate to seek help, fearing that they might be blamed or have their access to electronic devices revoked. Consequently, it is crucial for families and educational institutions to foster a safe environment for dialogue, promote digital literacy, and teach adolescents how to protect their privacy, document instances of abuse, and report them. It is also essential to cultivate a culture of respect, empathy, and responsibility online. Addressing digital bullying requires more than just technical solutions; it demands a collective societal effort to safeguard the dignity of adolescents and ensure their right to communicate and learn within a secure digital environment.
