To keep pace with rapid technological advancements and enhance students' digital capabilities, the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies organized an educational workshop entitled "Artificial Intelligence as My Partner in Engineering Studies" on October 24, 2026.
The workshop aimed to introduce students to key Artificial Intelligence tools and their practical applications in engineering. It covered strategies for using AI to clarify complex scientific concepts, solve engineering problems, analyze datasets, and summarize academic lectures and research papers. The session highlighted primary AI learning tools and effective prompt engineering techniques to yield precise results, while strongly emphasizing information verification, mathematical accuracy, academic integrity, and data privacy. Furthermore, the workshop stressed using AI as a supportive tool for learning and engineering logic rather than a replacement for critical thinking.
This initiative serves as a practical contribution toward Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by upgrading educational standards and digital innovation, as well as Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by empowering students with modern technology to match future engineering demands.
The workshop witnessed active participation and high engagement from attending students, who expressed great interest in integrating smart tools responsibly into their academic coursework.
This effort reinforces the department and university's commitment to delivering a technology-driven learning environment that merges modern innovation with academic rigor to build future-ready engineers.
