The Department of Media at the College of Arts and Humanities at Al-Mustaqbal University organised a specialised workshop entitled “Common Errors in the Arabic Language” on the morning of Monday, 19 October 2026, in the department’s classrooms. The workshop was attended by a number of students and aimed to improve the accuracy and quality of their written expression. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr Hamza Ubeis Abdul-Sadah and Lecturer Dr Qasim Mahdi Hamza, both members of the Department of Media’s teaching staff. It addressed common linguistic errors in everyday usage and highlighted the importance of adhering to Arabic language rules and maintaining accurate linguistic expression, particularly in media writing and the preparation of news reports and journalistic texts, to ensure the quality and clarity of communication. The workshop aimed to strengthen students’ linguistic awareness, develop their ability to use Arabic correctly, and enhance their editorial and media skills. This activity forms part of the scientific and cultural programme organised by the Department of Media at Al-Mustaqbal University in support of the educational process and the development of professional skills among college students.
