The Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries organized an awareness-raising event in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which included the distribution of informational brochures throughout the university campus, with the aim of promoting health awareness and highlighting the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer, on October 6, 2026. The brochures contained information on the importance of regular screenings and recognizing the signs and symptoms that warrant a visit to the doctor, while also emphasizing the role of health awareness in promoting prevention and early detection. This activity is part of the department’s efforts to support health and awareness initiatives, promote a culture of health among students and university staff, and raise awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer.
