Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new academic milestone by being ranked among the world’s top 1,600 universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027, further strengthening its presence in leading international university rankings.
The University was placed within the 1201–1400 global band, marking a significant position among Iraqi private universities and reflecting its continued efforts to advance academic performance, research quality, educational standards, and international engagement.
The achievement comes amid the growing presence of Iraqi higher education institutions in global rankings, with 32 Iraqi universities included in the 2027 edition, compared with 25 universities in the 2026 edition, highlighting the expanding participation of Iraqi universities in the global academic landscape.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings evaluates universities through 18 performance indicators across five key areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook, and industry and knowledge transfer.
Al-Mustaqbal University’s inclusion in the 2027 ranking reflects its continued commitment to developing its educational and research ecosystem, enhancing academic quality, expanding international partnerships, fostering innovation, and promoting knowledge transfer, in line with its vision of building a university with growing academic impact and global presence.
