Assistant Lecturer Abdullah Abbas Jaber, a lecturer in the Department of Media at the College of Arts and Humanities at Al-Mustaqbal University, has authored a new legal book entitled “Criminal Liability for Domestic Violence under Iraqi Law: A Comparative Study,” contributing to the enrichment of the scientific library and specialised academic studies. The new academic work consists of specialised chapters examining various aspects of the phenomenon. The first chapter addresses the forms of criminal liability arising from domestic violence offences and the relevant legal frameworks under Iraqi legislation. The second chapter highlights criminal mechanisms for combating domestic violence at both the domestic and international levels, drawing on a comparative study to analyse legal and legislative approaches. This scholarly achievement further strengthens the role of Al-Mustaqbal University’s academic staff and the Department of Media in contributing to academic authorship and publishing, while translating scholarly output into practical contributions that address pressing legal and social issues.
