President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, visited the GITEX AI Türkiye 2026 Exhibition and Conference, held in Istanbul, on his way back from his academic tour across Europe, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to keep pace with global technological developments and advance digital transformation. The visit aimed to closely explore the latest developments in modern technologies in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and educational technology, as well as examine ways to integrate these digital systems into the educational, research, and laboratory environments across the university’s colleges. On the sidelines of the exhibition, the President met with representatives of several specialised global and Turkish technology companies, as well as technology and innovation centres, including Teknopark Ankara and Antalya Teknokent. The meetings addressed prospects for joint cooperation, the exchange of expertise, and the adoption of smart technologies to support academic curricula and scientific laboratories, further strengthening the university’s position as a leading academic institution in innovation. His Excellency affirmed that the university’s participation in and visits to international technology forums are part of a strategic plan aimed at opening new horizons for students and researchers and equipping them with future-oriented skills aligned with the requirements of the global labour market and comprehensive digital transformation.
