The summer training program for Al-Mustaqbal University students at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) in the United Kingdom concluded with a specialized academic session addressing the vital intersections between cybersecurity and artificial intelligence technologies, as part of the University’s plan to develop its students’ technical competencies and prepare them to keep pace with rapid technological advancements. The concluding session covered three main areas: • Modern Concepts and Threats: An overview of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in the contemporary digital environment, focusing on the nature of cyber threats and their direct impact on the security of systems and networks. • Cyber Warfare and Defense Mechanisms: A discussion of cyber warfare concepts, hacking methods, and common technical vulnerabilities, alongside an overview of best practices for protecting systems, mitigating attacks, and effectively responding to digital threats. • Artificial Intelligence in the Cyber Domain: The lecture addressed the dual challenges and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence, whether through its use as a tool for developing more sophisticated attacks or as an advanced defensive shield for predictive analysis and the early detection of breaches. The Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, stated that these achievements marked the conclusion of an intensive training journey carried out at one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious universities, providing Al-Mustaqbal University students with an opportunity for direct international exposure and hands-on experience with the latest laboratories and technologies.
