The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majid, received members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Dr. Habib Al-Halawi and Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Masoudi, a member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, to open new horizons for the development of higher education. The meeting discussed strategic issues related to advancing academic services and strengthening the local and international reputation of private higher education institutions in Iraq, while highlighting Al-Mustaqbal University’s experience as a leading model in hosting academic programmes and implementing partnership programmes with prestigious international universities. In a statement, MP Dr. Habib Al-Halawi affirmed that Babylon Governorate takes pride in Al-Mustaqbal University as a distinguished scientific and academic institution, highlighting its significant social and economic role in employing more than 2,000 residents of the governorate from different age groups and social backgrounds, including degree holders as well as administrative and service staff. This contributes effectively to reducing unemployment and supporting sustainable development. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Masoudi, a member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, emphasized the importance of strengthening the quality and academic standards of both private and public higher education. He noted that Al-Mustaqbal University’s achievement of success rates exceeding 90% in the assessment examinations for most academic subjects is clear evidence of its academic rigor, while praising the university’s academic twinning and international hosting programmes.
