President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, welcomed Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Babil Branch, in the presence of members of the University Council, in a meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and developing mechanisms to support academics and holders of higher academic degrees. Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji congratulated the University President and the University Council on Al-Mustaqbal University receiving an **Erasmus+ programme grant**, expressing his appreciation for the university’s continued scientific and academic achievements and its growing presence within national and international academic circles. The meeting addressed a number of practical proposals for strengthening cooperation, including the nomination of syndicate representatives within the university’s colleges, departments, and academic facilities. Discussions also explored opportunities to announce employment positions available to holders of higher academic degrees through the syndicate, helping strengthen connections between academic expertise and the labour market. The two sides also discussed the importance of establishing sustainable channels of cooperation between the university and the syndicate and coordinating efforts to support teaching and academic staff, facilitate knowledge exchange, and strengthen the higher education sector in Babil Governorate. Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji expressed his appreciation for Al-Mustaqbal University’s role in developing the academic environment, noting that the university’s successive achievements reflect a clear commitment to development and academic advancement and reinforce its position as a leading educational institution. For his part, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi reaffirmed the university’s commitment to strengthening its relations with professional, academic, and syndicate institutions and expanding cooperation in ways that support academic staff, researchers, and graduates and contribute to advancing higher education in Iraq.
