The AL_Mustaqbal University Council held its twelfth meeting for the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and attended by council members. The meeting addressed several academic, scientific, and administrative matters, reviewed the most significant achievements of the academic year, and discussed preparations for the 2026-2027 academic year. At the beginning of the meeting, the University President congratulated the university's faculty, staff, and students, commending the qualitative achievements in scientific research, national and international rankings, institutional and program accreditation, the university's receipt of the Erasmus+ grant, the expansion of its international academic partnerships, and the implementation of several scientific and community events and initiatives. Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi affirmed that these achievements are the fruit of institutional work and integration among the various departments of the university. He emphasized the importance of continuing to develop the educational and research process, updating curricula, employing modern teaching methods, and aligning university outputs with labor market needs and future requirements. The session was attended by Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Babylon Branch, who congratulated the university's administration and council on receiving the Erasmus+ grant. He commended the university's academic and scientific achievements. Discussions also focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides, including appointing syndicate representatives and providing employment opportunities for degree holders. The session also reviewed several working papers related to the university's performance, covering student affairs, scientific and academic performance, the activities of the Continuing Education Center, and quality assurance and overall university performance. At the conclusion of the session, the council discussed the items on its agenda and made appropriate decisions and recommendations, affirming its commitment to continuing institutional work and academic development to strengthen the University of AL_Mustaqbal path toward excellence and leadership in the coming academic year.
