Clarification Statement Issued by Al-Mustaqbal University With reference to information circulated on some social media platforms regarding the suspension of admissions to the University for the upcoming academic year 2026/2027 due to the non-payment of social security contributions, we would like to clarify the following: First: The issue raised in this regard is related to the incomplete settlement of the social security contribution for the year 2025. It is not connected to any academic, scientific, or administrative matter concerning the University. The University confirms its full commitment to implementing all applicable laws and regulations. Any delay that occurred was due to the completion of reconciliation and final settlement procedures for the year 2025, which are standard administrative procedures within the relevant department, and the University was not responsible for this delay. Second: Pursuant to the provisions of the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers No. (18) of 2023, particularly the provisions governing the obligations of employers and operating entities regarding the payment of retirement and social security contributions, the University has taken all necessary financial, legal, and administrative measures to complete the payment process. It has also submitted all required information to the Retirement and Social Security Department in Babil Governorate for the purpose of finalizing the payment procedures. Third: We would like to reassure our dear students and their parents that the matter being circulated is merely a routine financial procedure currently being resolved. It has no connection whatsoever to the academic reality or scientific standing of the University. Al-Mustaqbal University will continue to welcome its students across all scientific and humanities disciplines. We also urge everyone to verify information through official sources and avoid relying on pages that promote inaccurate information or content that is far removed from the academic and scientific reality. Fourth: Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved significant scientific accomplishments and represents a pioneering educational experience at the national level. Some of these achievements include: • Academic Recognition: Receiving a Letter of Appreciation from the Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, based on the recommendation of the same supervisory committee, in recognition of the University’s excellence and adherence to rigorous academic standards. • National Leadership: Achieving first place among all private universities and colleges in Iraq for three consecutive years in the Iraqi National Ranking issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority. • Institutional and Programmatic Accreditation: Obtaining full institutional accreditation, in addition to program accreditation for the Colleges of Pharmacy, Law, and Physical Education & Sports Sciences, and most recently for the Department of Anesthesia, granted by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority. • International Partnerships and Accreditations: The University has established extensive international relations and gained the trust of prestigious global academic institutions. It has become an accredited host site for postgraduate programs offered by internationally recognized universities ranked in the Shanghai Global Ranking, including Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Mansoura University in Egypt.
