The Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, conducted a scientific visit to the scientific laboratories and research centers of the Faculty of Engineering at Istanbul Aydın University in the Republic of Türkiye, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation and exchange scientific expertise.
The visit included a field tour of several advanced specialized laboratories, where the Dean reviewed the latest equipment and technologies used in education and scientific research. The tour covered the Civil Engineering Laboratory, featuring advanced testing equipment for construction materials, soil, and structures; the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, showcasing thermal systems, dynamics laboratories, and modern facilities dedicated to practical training and research; the Electrical Engineering Laboratory, where power systems, electronic circuits, control systems, and advanced digital technologies were presented; and the Food Engineering Laboratory, which demonstrated pilot production lines, modern food processing and preservation technologies, as well as chemical and biological analysis techniques.
The visit also included the İAÜ Technology Incubation and Innovation Center (İAÜ TEKMER), where the Dean was introduced to mechanisms for supporting entrepreneurial projects, fostering students' innovative ideas, and transforming them into practical initiatives that contribute to community service and sustainable development.
During the visit, a joint meeting was held with officials from the Faculty of Engineering at Istanbul Aydın University to discuss prospects for academic and scientific collaboration, exchange of expertise, and the development of joint training and research programs for students and academic staff. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of engineering and applied education while strengthening international partnerships between the two institutions.
This visit reflects the commitment of the College of Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University to expanding its academic relations with distinguished international universities and benefiting from global best practices in developing its educational and research environment.
