Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, participated in the AI for Good Global Summit, held at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. The participation aligns with the University’s strategic vision to lead digital transformation, integrate artificial intelligence technologies into its academic and administrative systems, and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The summit, recognized as the world’s leading platform for harnessing innovation to create tangible social impact, brought together a distinguished international audience of researchers, policymakers, innovators, and founders of technology startups from around the globe. The opening-day sessions focused on transforming academic and laboratory research into practical applications capable of serving public, commercial, and humanitarian sectors. On the sidelines of the summit, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy attended the ITU Kaleidoscope Academic Conference, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies for Good.” The conference explored cutting-edge fields including quantum computing, brain-computer interfaces, and collaborative robotics, while also introducing the new AI Playbook, designed to help academic institutions and policymakers translate technological innovations from proof-of-concept into large-scale real-world implementation. Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy emphasized the importance of the summit’s forward-looking discussions, particularly in the areas of smart agriculture, healthcare innovation, and climate action. He affirmed that Al-Mustaqbal University places strong emphasis on building robust international partnerships and promoting responsible artificial intelligence and digital citizenship, contributing to the development of integrated educational curricula that combine technological competencies with critical thinking skills.
