Al-Mustaqbal University held a bilateral virtual meeting with the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) to explore opportunities for future cooperation and discuss mechanisms for the University’s participation in the Union’s European and Mediterranean programs and projects. The meeting reflects the University’s ambitious strategy to internationalize higher education and expand its global network of academic partnerships. During the meeting, the University delegation presented an overview of Al-Mustaqbal University’s institutional development and integrated academic structure, which comprises 15 colleges, highlighting its major achievements in scientific research, international university rankings, sustainable development, and global academic cooperation. The delegation also showcased the University’s successful experience in delivering joint postgraduate programs in partnership with leading Malaysian and Egyptian universities. The UNIMED delegation delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Union’s programs and the wide range of collaboration opportunities available to member institutions. The representatives emphasized the importance of active participation in UNIMED initiatives to strengthen universities’ international presence and commended Al-Mustaqbal University for its institutional excellence, particularly in scientific publishing, research performance, international rankings, and global partnerships. They also expressed the Union’s full readiness to involve the University in upcoming calls for several major European-funded programs and encouraged early preparation through the formation of specialized teams and international partnerships to maximize the University’s competitiveness in securing European research and development projects.
