Al-Mustaqbal University’s Technology Incubator has successfully concluded the “Future Innovators” program, held under the theme “Innovation Camp and Project Incubator” from June 1 to June 30, 2026. The program brought together 10 students from the Departments of Computer Engineering Technologies and Building and Construction Engineering Technologies, alongside a postgraduate student enrolled in the hosted USM program. The initiative reflects the University’s vision of preparing a new generation capable of leading technological innovation by transforming knowledge into practical digital solutions. The program was conducted under the direct supervision of Dr. Musaddaq Maher Abdulzahra, Director of the Technology Incubator, who oversaw every stage of development—from idea generation and needs assessment to design, development, testing, and prototype creation. The program emphasized strengthening participants’ skills in innovative thinking, teamwork, project management, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, industrial robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), digital education, and digital healthcare, with solutions designed to serve government institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the private sector. Within just one month, participants successfully developed 14 innovative projects and smart digital platforms, including the Smart Virtual Mouse, a computer control system powered by hand gestures and computer vision; Cyber AI Puzzle, an AI-driven educational platform for cybersecurity skills development; Smart BioLab, an intelligent laboratory management platform; Interactive Engineering Mind, an interactive engineering simulation and design platform; and the Aqari Iraq Platform, a digital real estate management and marketing platform supporting digital transformation in Iraq’s property sector. The completed projects also included Next-Gen Cyber Music, which applies artificial intelligence to creative music content analysis; PhishAware, an intelligent phishing detection system; the Babylon Cyber Defense Academy for cybersecurity capacity building; SOCMini, a compact Security Operations Center designed for small and medium-sized enterprises; an industrial robotic system powered by edge computing for material handling and real-time environmental safety monitoring; the Smart Autonomous Cart; the Advanced Smart Teacher platform; the Future Care Smart Platform for digital healthcare services; and the Smart Vaccine Platform for vaccination scheduling and medical reporting. Dr. Musaddaq Maher Abdulzahra emphasized that the “Future Innovators” program represents a practical environment for developing innovators and entrepreneurs, noting that genuine investment begins with empowering students and providing advanced infrastructure that enables them to transform theoretical ideas into practical projects with scientific and commercial value capable of contributing to national innovation and the sustainable digital knowledge economy. He added that the Technology Incubator is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, strengthening the integration of academic knowledge with practical application, and supporting promising ideas in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of preparing graduates equipped with the skills and expertise needed to compete in both local and international labor markets. This achievement further demonstrates the University’s commitment to creating an environment that encourages creativity and excellence while transforming the academic institution into a hub for knowledge production and technological innovation, reinforcing its leadership among Iraqi universities in innovation, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation.
