Partnership between the Schools of Pharmacy Opens New Horizons for Joint Research, Academic Exchange, and Dual-Degree Opportunities

Al-Mustaqbal University has taken a significant step toward expanding its global academic partnerships by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, one of the world's leading institutions in pharmaceutical education and research. The agreement was signed during an official visit by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Dhalimi, and the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom, Professor Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi. During the visit, a series of productive meetings were held with senior academic leaders and representatives of the University of Nottingham and its School of Pharmacy. Discussions focused on strengthening strategic cooperation between the two institutions, exploring opportunities for academic twinning programs, dual-degree initiatives, faculty and student exchanges, and the development of joint research projects. This partnership carries particular significance given the outstanding global reputation of the University of Nottingham's School of Pharmacy, which ranks first in the United Kingdom and eighth worldwide in the field of pharmacy. The school also maintains a strategic partnership with Boots, one of the world's leading pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, providing exceptional professional and employment opportunities for its graduates. On the other hand, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to strengthen its international standing through its achievement of American accreditation for pharmaceutical education, reflecting its commitment to excellence, quality assurance, and alignment with international academic standards. The newly signed MoU aims to establish a sustainable framework for academic and scientific cooperation, facilitate the exchange of expertise among faculty members and researchers, and create new opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students in pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, and related disciplines.
