*The President of Al-Mustaqbal University Signs a Letter of Intent with the University of Reading, UK, to Consolidate Academic and Research Cooperation* The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, signed a Letter of Intent with the prestigious University of Reading, UK, in a step that affirms the university’s strategic orientation towards openness to reputable global academic institutions and enhancing its position on the map of international higher education. The signing ceremony and discussions, held in a distinguished academic atmosphere, witnessed high-level official attendance represented by the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom, Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi, who emphasized the importance of this cooperation in supporting Iraqi scholarship students and developing scholarship programs. The British side was represented by a prominent academic and administrative delegation comprising Professor Elizabeth Allen, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for International Relations and President of the Global Academy at the University of Reading; Professor Keiichi Nakata, Professor of Social Informatics and Director of the Informatics Research Centre at Henley Business School; Mr. Alex Boughton, Director of Global Engagement and Executive Assistant to the Director of External Relations at the university; and Ms. Irem Ozsoy, Senior Regional Manager for International Student Recruitment. *Main Axes of the Memorandum* The signed Memorandum of Understanding aimed to establish a joint framework for developing scientific, academic, and research relations between the two universities, focusing on three strategic axes: 1. *Joint Academic Programs*: Both parties agreed to explore mechanisms for establishing “Double Degree” programs and academic progression/twinning programs, enabling Al-Mustaqbal University students to obtain accredited degrees from both institutions and opening flexible academic pathways in line with international standards. 2. *Scholarships and Study Facilities*: The discussions included the provision of scholarship packages and special discounts for distinguished students from Al-Mustaqbal University wishing to study at the University of Reading, in addition to facilitating admission and registration procedures to support student exchange. 3. *Scientific Research and Exchange of Expertise*: Agreement was reached to explore available opportunities for cooperation in joint scientific research fields, launch research projects between corresponding colleges, exchange knowledge and expertise between teaching staff and researchers, and organize joint workshops and scientific conferences. *Accompanying Events and Meeting with Iraqi Students* On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, commemorative shields were exchanged between the President of Al-Mustaqbal University and the British delegation, expressing the depth of bilateral academic relations and documenting this promising partnership. In a supportive and paternal gesture towards the scientific journey, the Iraqi delegation, represented by the Cultural Attaché Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Ahmadi and the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, held extensive meetings with a group of Iraqi scholarship students and researchers studying at the University of Reading in front of the university’s central library building. The delegation listened to their academic progress and needs, affirming the university’s and the Iraqi government’s commitment to providing all means of support, and stressing the importance of their role in serving the nation and contributing to building its future. *Future Vision* This step comes as part of the ambitious strategy adopted by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance its international partnerships and provide the best educational and research opportunities for its students and teaching staff, thereby contributing to raising the efficiency of its educational outputs and aligning them with the requirements of the global labor market.
