Al-Mustaqbal University recorded an active presence during the first day of the specialized workshop on the European Erasmus+ Programme, held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The event brought together more than 110 representatives from universities and higher education institutions, reflecting strong engagement from the academic community. The three-day workshop aims to enhance participants’ understanding of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme and to explore mechanisms for benefiting from its initiatives in the areas of academic cooperation, institutional capacity building, and the development of educational and research projects. During the first day, participants reviewed the programme’s main priorities, including inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, environmental sustainability, climate action, and community engagement. Discussions also highlighted the opportunities available to Iraqi universities through the International Credit Mobility framework, which promotes academic exchange and international collaboration. The workshop further addressed the preparation of competitive project proposals and the criteria used for their evaluation, with particular emphasis on aligning project objectives with national priorities.
