Chaired by the President of AL_Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, the university held its second meeting dedicated to developing its strategic vision for the next phase. This vision aims to solidify an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship and strengthen the transition towards a productive university model. The meeting was attended by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, directors of research centers and departments, and a select group of faculty members and relevant staff. At the outset of the meeting, the University President emphasized that the contemporary role of academic institutions is no longer limited to the transfer of knowledge, but extends to its production and investment in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy and achieving sustainable development. He pointed to the university's human and scientific capabilities, which qualify it to assume a leading position in this field. He explained that achieving this vision requires integrated efforts across all departments of the university, through the formation of specialized working groups operating according to clear strategic paths that contribute to achieving the goals of innovation, institutional sustainability, and the promotion of entrepreneurship. He also emphasized the importance of supporting applied scientific research and directing it towards addressing real-world challenges across various sectors. He stressed the need to broaden cooperation with industrial and service institutions by activating advisory councils, thereby enhancing the alignment of educational outcomes with labor market demands. For his part, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision presented a working paper outlining the key pillars of the future plan. These included fostering a culture of innovation within the colleges, developing research infrastructure, supporting entrepreneurial projects, updating curricula to meet contemporary needs, achieving financial sustainability and institutional transformation, and presenting the key performance indicators for the upcoming phase. The meeting featured extensive discussions and active contributions from attendees, during which a range of developmental ideas and proposals were put forward to support the university's strategic direction and enhance its academic and developmental standing. At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President affirmed his full support for these high-quality initiatives, emphasizing the importance of ongoing coordination between colleges and research centers. He further stated that students are the focus of the educational process and essential partners in achieving the goals of development and innovation within the university.
