The Faculty of Engineering at Future University organized its first Faculty Forum today, under the theme "Engineering and its Role in Achieving Sustainable Employment Opportunities." The forum witnessed a remarkable turnout of academics, specialists, and representatives from vital related sectors, in addition to faculty members and students. A Strategic Vision for the Labor Market The forum commenced with a speech by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, followed by a speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shaker Magdy. The opening remarks focused on the necessity of: • Bridging the gap between academic outputs and the actual needs of the labor market. • Equipping engineers with the tools for sustainable development to address future challenges. • Developing students' skills in line with major technological transformations. Scientific and Technological Themes The forum included a series of scientific sessions and lectures presented by experts from within and outside the university, covering strategic topics including: 1. Artificial Intelligence: Its Revolutionary Applications in the Medical Fields. 2. Sustainability: Sustainable Architecture Technologies and Addressing Climate Change. 3. Future Skills: A review of the engineering competencies required in modern companies and institutions. Student Innovations and Entrepreneurial Projects The forum was not limited to theoretical aspects, but also served as a platform to showcase student innovations characterized by creative touches in vital fields, most notably: • Advanced projects in waste recycling and renewable energy. • Advanced models of prosthetic limbs and engineering simulations of biological systems. Closing Ceremony and Recognition At the conclusion of the forum, a ceremony was held to honor the participants and supporting entities in appreciation of their efforts in making this scientific event a success. This forum is part of the college's plan to enhance quality and academic accreditation, and to strengthen ties with labor market institutions in a way that serves the students' academic and professional development.
