The Educational and Psychological Counseling Committee in the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a discussion session titled Smart Learning as a Key to Excellence, led by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan on 27/4/2026, with the participation of third-year students. The session addressed the importance of applying smart learning strategies in enhancing academic performance, with a focus on modern methods that promote deep understanding and strengthen students’ analytical thinking skills, particularly in applied engineering disciplines. Participants also discussed the main challenges students may face in adopting this learning approach, as well as ways to overcome them through self-organization and effective time management. This activity comes as part of the committee’s efforts to support students academically and psychologically, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), by providing a stimulating learning environment that fosters innovation and prepares competent graduates capable of meeting labor market demands. The session witnessed positive engagement, reflecting students’ commitment to improving their skills and achieving academic excellence.
