The Educational and Psychological Counseling Committee in the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a guidance seminar titled CV Writing for Biomedical Engineering Students, led by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan on 20/4/2026, with the participation of several students from the department. The seminar addressed the scientific and practical foundations of preparing a professional CV that effectively and clearly reflects students’ skills and experiences, with a focus on highlighting academic projects and practical training related to the specialization. It also reviewed common mistakes in CV writing and how to avoid them, in addition to presenting applied examples to help students improve their chances when applying for jobs and training opportunities. This activity comes as part of the committee’s efforts to prepare students for the labor market, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by supporting employability skills and enhancing students’ professional readiness. The seminar witnessed positive engagement, reflecting students’ awareness of the importance of early career planning.
