Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Technologies, Professor Dr. Mahdi Abdul-Kadhim Abdul, and in cooperation with Assistant Professor Dr. Tahani Jawad Mohammed Ali, the Scientific Assistant, the College of Agricultural Technologies organized an academic awareness campaign entitled “Rationalizing Energy Consumption and Its Role in Achieving Environmental Sustainability.” This initiative comes as part of the college’s efforts to promote environmental awareness and foster a culture of optimal use of natural resources.
The campaign aimed to highlight the importance of rationalizing energy consumption in both agricultural and urban sectors, as well as to demonstrate its direct impact on reducing operational costs and minimizing harmful emissions, thereby contributing to environmental protection and achieving the goals of sustainable development. The campaign also included a variety of awareness activities, such as scientific lectures and interactive workshops delivered by specialized faculty members, addressing the latest methods and technologies in energy efficiency.
The campaign witnessed active participation from students of the college, who contributed to preparing guidance materials and distributing awareness leaflets across the university campus, in addition to organizing practical activities focused on promoting responsible energy-use behaviors in daily life.
This initiative reflects the College of Agricultural Technologies’ commitment to instilling modern environmental concepts among students and preparing qualified scientific cadres capable of addressing environmental challenges, thereby enhancing the university’s role in community service and sustainable development.
