An awareness activity was carried out through the distribution of a brochure on smart recycling within the university campus, aiming to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness about the importance of modern and innovative waste management methods. The activity was implemented by Prof. Dr. Firas Thaer Raouf, Assistant Lecturer Mariam Ghassan Ghaffar, and Teaching Assistant Hala Mahnad Ismail on April 18, 2026, as part of ongoing environmental initiatives. The brochure included guidance on the concept of smart recycling, waste sorting mechanisms, and efficient resource utilization to reduce waste and protect the environment. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, by encouraging positive environmental behaviors within the university community. This activity reflects the university’s commitment to promoting sustainable practices and building environmental awareness that contributes to creating a clean and safe environment for future generations.
