Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering Technology / Department of Fuel and Energy Technologies organized a distinguished scientific participation on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, as part of the "Fuel and Power Forum." The session, titled "Improving Corrosion Resistance of 7075 Aluminum Alloys Using Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation Techniques," was supervised by the lecturer L.M. Zahraa Salah Hadi. This initiative aims to support the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), in alignment with the empowerment and protection pillars of the National Strategy for Iraqi Women. The study focused on enhancing the surface properties of aluminum alloys used in fuel and energy applications through modern techniques that increase operational efficiency and durability in harsh industrial conditions. The event was attended by the Dean, his assistants, department heads, and a group of faculty and students, highlighting the department's commitment to applied scientific research and the academic leadership of women in engineering fields.
