As part of the activities of the Educational and Psychological Guidance Committee, the committee represented by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan organized a guidance seminar titled “Mental Health in the Medical Work Environment” on Monday, April 20, 2026, with the participation of a number of students.
The seminar aimed to raise students’ awareness of the importance of mental health for healthcare professionals and its role in enhancing professional performance and improving the ability to cope with workplace stress. It also addressed the main psychological challenges that healthcare staff may face, along with presenting scientific methods to manage and reduce their impact.
The seminar emphasized that mental health is a fundamental component in improving the quality of healthcare services and ensuring a stable work environment, as it directly affects the efficiency of medical service delivery.
The seminar witnessed positive engagement from students, who showed strong interest in the topic and its importance in preparing competent and balanced healthcare professionals.
